In 2003, JoAnne graduated from The Michigan School of Myomassology (MSM), Berkley,
Michigan. In September of the same year, she became a Nationally Certified Massage
Therapist (NCTMB). In 2004, she became certified in Orthopedic Massage Therapy (COMT)
by OMERI and continues her studies in the Masters Program at MSM, specializing in
Orthopedic and Medical Massage. Concurrent with her ongoing studies, she
became the first Massage Therapist to appear before the Livonia City Council to
become licensed and granted permission to practice in the City of Livonia;
the first in over twenty-four years. (LMT)
Following a year as an Independent Contractor at the Civello Spinal Center in Livonia,
and the Northville Senior Community Center in Northville, MI, she established her own
business in the Livonia Professional Plaza. JoAnne is a member of the Livonia Chamber
of Commerce, The Local Business Network, The U.S. Medical Massage Association,
The National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA), Healing Touch Practitioner (HTP),
and the American Bodywork and Massage Practicioners Association (ABMP).
